About This Book

Fastest way to get it: buy Grow Food NOT Lawns on Amazon. Brand new paperback or Kindle, and it lands at your door quick.

Want the personal touch? That is this listing. The Signed Author Edition is the same brand new book, signed by hand by me, then packed and shipped by our family. It takes us a little longer than Amazon, and that is the trade.

Brand new. 2026 Updated Edition. Every copy ships new and unread, printed fresh. Never used, never secondhand.

Most gardening books are written for places with easy summers and a real winter. This one was written from my quarter acre in West Central Florida, where the heat kills half of what those books promise will live. Grow Food NOT Lawns is the blueprint for turning any Southern yard into a garden that feeds your family year round.

What you get in this edition

  • A brand new paperback, the current 2026 edition, signed by me, Jermaine Jefferson
  • Packed and shipped by our family, not a warehouse
  • The same system I used to turn our lawn into a food forest that feeds a family of six

I sign every copy by hand, so I only keep a few on the shelf at a time. If it shows sold out, grab it on Amazon and check back here later.

Questions, Answered

Is this a new book or a used copy?

Brand new, every time. This is the current edition, printed fresh and signed by hand before it ships. We do not sell used, secondhand, refurbished, or remainder copies. Ever.

I have never grown anything. Is this book for me?

Yes. It is written in plain talk for beginners. No jargon, no botany degree required. It gives you the why, the mindset, and the simple first steps to get food in the ground.

I do not live in Florida. Will it still help?

The book was written from a Florida yard, and it speaks loudest to the South and warm climates. But the message, turning lawn into food and building the discipline to keep it growing, works anywhere grass grows.

Do you offer personal help with my yard?

Yes. The Backyard Coaching Program with Jermaine and Toni is $9,700 and application only. It includes a video review of your yard, a written game plan, and sixteen weeks of direct access. Learn about coaching here. The book is the best first step.

What is the difference between the signed copy and Amazon?

Same book, same current edition, both brand new. The signed copy is signed by Jermaine and shipped from our home in Florida. Amazon ships faster and has the Kindle version instantly. Pick what suits you, just start.

How fast does it ship?

Signed copies are packed and shipped from our family in West Central Florida. See our shipping policy for current times, and our refund policy if anything is not right.
